Last week I attended a conference on “How the social brain experiences empathy” sponsored by the Center for Cognitive and Social Neuroscience, University of Chicago. A stellar list of speakers spoke on current research on empathy and the brain from the perspectives of neuroscience, anthropology, and clinical practice. I took extensive notes (any errors and omissions are, of course, my own): see my personal blog for Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.
